Resumen

El vitiligo es una hipomelanosis adquirida manifestada clínicamente por la aparición progresiva de máculas acrómicas e hipocrómicas de gran repercusión estética. Si bien su etiopatogenia se desconoce, se han presentado diferentes teorías, de las cuales la inmunitaria es la más aceptada. Se cuenta con múltiples terapias y, en los últimos años, se han creado tratamientos emergentes basados en la comprensión actual de la patogenia de esta entidad.
