Abstract

Paraneoplastic autoimmune multiorgan syndrome, formerly called paraneoplastic pemphigus is an infrequent type of pemphigus that affects skin, semimucosal, mucosal and internal organs. It is potentially fatal. Occurs in the context of neoplasms which can precede, be concomitant with or develop after the dermatological condition. Breast cancer represent a very rare cause. It has been described as caused or exacerbated by chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

We present a case of a 59 years old woman with a history of breast cancer that developed one month after completing radiotherapy treatment a condition of clinical, histologic and immunologic features compatible with paraneoplastic pemphigus with good response to treatment and favourable evolution.
