Thirty years

Abstract

Thirty years… The occasion is propitious to relive the history of our Magazine. The Argentine Society of Dermatology (SAD) was founded on August 24, 1934. Since then it was a dream of the authorities to have a publication. In 1995 there were four dermatological publications in our country. With the unifying spirit of the SAD, a unique edition was managed that reflected Argentine dermatology. The negotiations were unsuccessful due to the demands that the SAD could not satisfy. It was then that the president of SAD, Prof. Ana Kaminsky, undertook the bold task of creating our publication. During those years she wrote: “This Magazine is the reality of a dream of all of us who at some point direct the destinies of the SAD and of all those identified with it. The days and nights were long and the efforts were multiple; We encountered difficulties, but at no time did we give up or lose hope.”
