Abstract

Inverted follicular keratosis is a rare benign adnexal tumor with chronic evolution. Derived from the follicular epithelium of the outer root sheath of the hair follicle. It predominates in males and has a higher incidence in the fifth decade of life. It presents as a solitary lesion, located mainly on the face (upper lip and cheek). It is a pink, firm and hyperkeratotic papule-type tumor, of variable size and asymptomatic. Its diagnosis is based on histopathology and the treatment of choice is surgical excision. We present a series of four clinical cases.
