Abstract

A 47-year-old woman, with no relevant personal history, consulted for the presence of a lesion on the tongue, of 2 months of evolution, associated with mild burning. Physical examination revealed an oval, erythematous, depapillated, well-defined, non-indurated plaque of approximately 4 x 1.5 cm on the medial region of the dorsum of the tongue. Topical treatment was indicated for 2 weeks, resulting in total resolution of the picture at one month follow-up.
