Abstract

A 35-year-old patient with a history of smoking (20 cigarettes/day for 15 years) was referred by the dentist, who noted the presence of asymptomatic white plaques with a symmetrical arrangement on the buccal mucosa. The patient did not remember the time of evolution and denied similar injuries in other members of his family.
