Miescher's granulomatous cheilitis is a rare entity characterized by recurrent lip swelling. It represents the monosymptomatic form of Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome which is defined by lip edema, facial paralysis and fissured tongue. In its histology is common the presence of non caseating granulomas. This entity is characterized by its difficult handling and the variable responses to the elected treatment. We present a patient who had an excellent response to treatment with hydroxychloroquine.
