Abstract

Hidradenoma papilliferum is a rare benign tumor of the apocrine glands that arises almost exclusively in females in the anogenital, axillary and periumbilical region after the onset of puberty. Diagnosis is confirmed by histopathological study and surgical resection is the chosen treatment. We present a 49-year-old female patient who developed an ulcerated hidradenoma papilliferum between the labia majora and minora that remitted completely and spontaneously with no recurrence during the follow-up.
