Calciphylaxis or calcifying uremic arteriolopathy is a rare disease that carries high morbidity and mortality between 40% and 80%. It is produced by calcification of small caliber vessels and mainly affects patients with chronic renal failure. It usually begins with a change in skin color and then ulceration, pain and skin necrosis occur.
We present a 70-year-old man with chronic renal failure who developed painful skin lesions on his lower limbs.
