Abstract

The scar allowed me to caress the wound.

One morning the teacher asked me to put down the blackboard

and I took the handles high and pulled

and lowered the wood like a guillotine

and my middle finger got under the weight

of the green snowy wood

and a person joined the torn yolk

and bandaged me tightly

and then they took me home

and from that day on everyone looked at my hand

and it was a relief to be remembered by my finger.
