Abstract

Cytophagic histiocytic panniculitis is a pathology that mainly affects the lobular portion of adipose tissue, it is rare and scarcely reported. The majority of cases are associated with an acute haemophagocyticsyndrome with visceral involvement and fatal outcome. In a lesser proportion it can be presented limited to the skin. We present a patient with a diagnosis of cytophagic histiocytic panniculitis not associated with hemophagocytic syndrome, and spontaneous with follow-up for 11 years by our Department.
