Abstract

Pemphigus vegetans of Hallopeau is a rare variant of pemphigus with a benign course. Clinically, it begins with pustules in oral cavity or in body folds that later evolve into vegetative lesions. The histopathology is characterized by suprabasal detachment of the epidermis and the presence of eosinophilic microabscesses. We present a patient with the
diagnosis of pemphigus vegetans of Hallopeau who presented pustules in the labial mucosa as the first manifestation of the disease.
