Abstract

Ulerythema ophryogenes is a rare dermatosis, characterized by erythematous follicular papules on the eyebrows, forehead and/ or cheeks, sometimes evolving into atrophy and alopecia. It can be associated with Noonan, Lange, Rubinstein-Taybi and cardio-facio-cutaneous syndromes. Although it tends to spontaneously resolve during adolescence, keratolytic and sunscreening agents are used with variable response. There are few publications of pulsed dye laser (PDL) treatment for this entity. We present the case of a child with ulerythema ophryogenes, with a positive response to this treatment and without adverse effects.
