An excellent experience!

Abstract

On an academic level, I would like to mention the importance of staying up-to-date in our profession, even with topics that one thinks one easily remembers; I have had some surprises when reviewing them and realizing that there is always something that I did not remember. The editorial review task involves reading the papers submitted by the authors and then commenting on them to explain our opinion about them. In all cases, you need to read about the case under study, or review some detail about the treatment. The most important references help to search the bibliographic background and, in many occasions, we can review more than one of them to have a broader point of view. As an editor, I was forced to keep up to date on many topics and this was a very positive contribution in many ways.
