Neutrophilic subepidermal blistering dermatoses

Abstract

The neutrophilic subepidermal blistering dermatoses group now includes to: 1) herpetiformis dermatitis, 2) linear IgA disease, 3)mucous membrane pemphigoid, 4) inflammatory epidermolysis bullosa acquisita, 5) anti laminin γ1 pemphigoid and 6) bullous systemic lupus erythematosus. They have a common feature, a neutrophilic inflammatory infiltrate, responsible for generating characteristic clinical features such as the presence of erythematous plaques with blistering detachment, and the excellent response to dapsone. This report will discuss the etiopathogenesis, clinical appearance, diagnosis and treatment of these six entities.
