Abstract

Receiving the distinction of Master of Dermatology is a profound honor for me and, at the same time, an invitation to reflect. More than an individual accolade, I view it as the expression of a journey shared with mentors, colleagues, students, physicians in training, and patients—all of whom have given true meaning to my professional life. My gratitude goes, first and foremost, to those who shaped the beginning of that path: Dr. Dagoberto Pierini, who awakened and solidified my passion for Pediatric Dermatology, and Dr. Pedro Magnin, who opened the doors to the academic world for me and guided me to view dermatology not merely as clinical practice, but as a true career dedicated to training, teaching, and research. Their example, generosity, and confidence in me were fundamental to my professional development. Dermatology taught me not only to observe the skin but also to understand the human being in their entirety. Over the years, I have confirmed that scientific knowledge must always be accompanied by sensitivity, ethics, and a vocation for service.
