Abstract

Rheumatoid neutrophilic dermatosis (RND) is a rare skin condition associated with severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Clinically, it presents with papules, nodules, pustules, and occasionally vesicles, predominantly located on the joints and extremities. Diagnosis is confirmed through histopathology, which shows neutrophilic infiltration in the dermis. Initial treatment includes topical or systemic corticosteroids, although dapsone may be required in refractory cases. We report the case of a patient with RND associated with RA who exhibited an unusual polymorphic clinical presentation and histological evidence of neutrophilic infiltration. The disease was refractory to systemic corticosteroids but achieved complete remission following dapsone therapy
