XXV Argentine Congress of Dermatology.Abstract
The XXV Argentine Congress of Dermatology was held in the city of La Plata, from August 28 to 31.
On this occasion, the venue was the “Centro Provincial de las Artes Teatro Argentino”, an artistic complex with a “brutalist” architectural style that has one of the most outstanding opera houses in Latin America and that allowed us to have a unique development, offering our attendees a very attractive cultural agenda.
The most important meeting of Argentine dermatology brought together more than 1,900 dermatologists from all over the country and Latin America who shared experiences and knowledge in a different environment.
We had a large commercial exhibition, with more than 38 stands, displayed in the large foyers of the main rooms of the theater. The scientific program had a high academic level, with plenary sessions, interactive sessions, courses, symposia, focus sessions and workshops held simultaneously, both in the theater halls and in the auditoriums of the College of Physicians and the Grand Brizo hotel and, thanks to the collaboration of the Municipality, we were able to convert 51st Street into a pedestrian area and thus access the three venues quickly and safely.
As foreign guests we welcomed Jean Bolognia (United States), Marcello Menta Nico (Brazil), Raúl de Lucas (Spain), Martín Sangueza (Bolivia), Cristián Vera (Chile) and Eduardo Poletti (Mexico). They all actively participated in the Congress and also enjoyed our city, with its gastronomy and cultural agenda.
The entire organizing committee of La Plata thanks the SAD for this great opportunity and hopes that the XXV Argentine Congress of Dermatology will remain in the memory of all attendees as a meeting of human warmth that achieved the fusion of art and science in a place of different magnitudes.
