Abstract

Abstract:
Disseminated fusariosis is a frequent fungal infection among immunologic dificient patients, most particularly with severe and prolonged neutropenia with onco-hematologic diseases under chemotherapy, or recipients of bone-marrow transplants. The skin manifestations are more common than in other opportunistic mycoses. A bad response to systemic wide-spectrum antifungal drugs is the rule, and high dose liposomal anfotericin B or voriconazol are suggested as alternate systemic treatments.
We report 2 patients with invasive fusariosis in whom the dermatologic lesions were one of the keys leading to the diagnosis of systemic fusariosis with no response to the systemic treatment
